-Remember the Reasons Why You Became a Doctor-

Clinic:

Community Health Care clinics are located close to each other in two small, family-friendly, university towns in Washington and Idaho.  We work together with the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Pullman and are able to run a very unique practice.

We are dedicated to:

  • Spending more time with patients
  • Whole person care: We treat patients not only physically but also socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
  • Respecting patient choices
  • Focusing on prevention
  • Helping patients reach their long-term health goals

        Elective Objectives:

The accepted intern will be working with Dr. Robert Spady, board certified in Internal Medicine, trained at Loma Linda University.

During the intern, you will learn how to:

  • Be able to properly diagnose and treat patients in an out patient rural clinic.
  • Combine social, emotional, spiritual, and physical cares of patients.
  • Help a church and a clinic interact together to aid the patients with their needs.
  • Manage the business side of a clinic practice.
  • Interact with the community through community outreach programs, such as weight-loss and stop-smoking programs.
